Just in time for the observance of the World Oceans Day with the theme, “Our oceans: greening our future”, the call to save the Philippine seas from the rape of our rich marine resources was organized by Filipino netizens through a day of blog action on Wednesday, June 8.The plunder of the Philippine seas is not just a national concern but an international one because any issue involving our oceans is of global significance. Thus, this calls for our individual and collective duty to protect the marine environment and carefully manage its resources. Healthy seas and oceans are integral to human well-being, economic security and sustainable development.
